Vuzix Blade® OS Version 2.11 - Release Notes

Audio and Speech Recognition

• Upon installing version 2.11, regardless of the previous configuration, Speech Recognition will be enabled with Tap Detection disabled
  • Try saying “Hello Blade”, “Speech Commands” to get started
  • To disable this feature, navigate to Settings > Device > Speech Recognition and press Turn Off
• Speech commands added for the following apps
  • Launcher
  • Photos
  • Settings
  • Camera
  • Notifications/Home
• Ability to view and use speech commands on the main rail
• Set device's default volume at 85%
  • This will not override previous changes to the volume

System/Developer Improvements

• Added support for the Vuzix Barcode SDK
• Added "barcode zoom" camera resolution
• The Vuzix Companion app can now trigger applications on the Blade to take actions on links clicked on the paired phone
  • Example: Click a Zoom meeting link on your paired smart phone to trigger the companion app to “Send the link to your glasses” and auto join the Zoom meeting on your Blade
• Updated Haptics SDK and UX Design documentation on website
